Art Deco'

Influenced by the bold geometric shapes of Cubism, it is represented by clean and simple lines that were used to create beautiful compositions. Stones were cut in less traditional way and platinum was often used instead of gold; although a lot of jewelry was black and white there was also plenty of color in Art Deco.
Many designers employed coral, jade and lapis lazuli; they also placed greater emphasis on very elaborate and elegant settings, featuring less-expensive materials such as enamel, glass, horn, ivory and the new-born plastic.
